Firefox 2 RC2 is a developer preview release of the next-generation Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only. Firefox 2 RC2 is intended for Web application developers and the Firefox testing community. Current users of Mozilla Firefox 1.x should not use Firefox 2 RC2.
Firefox 2 will aim to build on the success of Firefox by addressing issues related to the problem of managing the vast amounts of information available on the Internet. Our goal is to provide a browser that helps users manage and organize their online information channels. The latest pre-release version of Firefox 2 includes enhanced security in the extension system, support for Sherlock and OpenSearch search plug-ins, and a new Windows installer, among other updates.
