The Google Toolbar is a popular browser add-on for Internet Explorer — and now Firefox as well ‐ that makes it possible to quickly perform Google Web searches, prevent annoying pop-up ads from appearing (IE version only), and fill in Web forms with one simple click.

The toolbar’s new ‘browse by name’ feature also makes it possible to type searches directly into the browser address bar. Additional features include access to Google’s page ranking system, one-click access to the Google News and Froogle shopping sites, and a variety of customization options.
