The seminar will discuss the current use of 3G in business and public sector organisations. It will also examine the potential that can be achieved with 3G and explore how this technology can deliver real business benefits.

The opportunity that 3G offers in terms of mobilising business is still untapped by many organisations. Mobile working, remote access to applications and converged communications are all enhanced by the high speeds that 3G offers.

Furthermore, the imminent launch of the latest version of this technology - known as HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) or 3G broadband - will give another significant boost to data transfer speeds. This will deliver greater capacity so that more people in the same location at the same time will be able to benefit from a superior experience. Access to web-based content will also become much quicker using 3G broadband so that mobile workers will be able to quickly download large documents, such as PowerPoint presentations.

It is these benefits that can significantly change the user experience and the way businesses operate, making 3G services more compelling for realising persistent organisational targets such as business efficiency or improved customer service.
